1984 à nos jours : Graphiste dans la presse et l’imprimerie et sur le web.
Mène de front ses deux activités de graphiste et de peintre depuis 27 ans.
Plusieurs de ses toiles sont présentes dans de nombreuses collections privées
en France, Italie, Slovénie et USA.
Birth on May 7th, 1960 in Algiers,
from 1978 till 1981: diploma of the College of Decorative arts of Poitiers,
from 1982 till 1984: graphic designer freelance in region Poitou-Charentes
1984 in now : graphic designer in the press and the printing office and on Web.
Manage at once his two activities of graphic designer and painter for 27 years.
Some of his paintings are present in numerous collections deprived in France,
Italy, Slovenia and USA.

Destins figés par une tourmente d'univers fracassé ?
Non par inspiration, mais plutôt par atavisme mental, l'univers de Garnier-Lafond n'est pas sans évoquer celui de Magritte.
Pour autant que je me souvienne, Thierry quitte rapidement le lycée pour s'enfermer dans sa chambre-atelier, avec pour ambiance des posters de Dali, et, il me semble, Delvaux.
La très personnelle production surréaliste Garnier-Lafond allait commencer.
S'en suit un diplôme de l'Ecole d'Arts Appliqués de Poitiers.
Depuis, Thierry va mener de front les activités de graphiste et d'artiste peintre.
On ne nait pas artiste : on le devient. Certes en forgeant, mais surtout en recevant une pulsion intérieure toujours renouvelée.
Même si depuis quelques temps Thierry s'oriente, en parallèle, vers des représentations moins énigmatiques (souvenirs d'Alger, condition animale _ les félins auraient-ils-dévoré les démons ? _ )
L'Œuvre de Garnier-Lafond, en constante évolution, garanti une production tragédique et offre une présence persistante par sa personnalité d'envergure internationale.
