Né à Marseille, je suis un artiste autodidacte. Une partie de mon apprentissage s’est néanmoins faite au gré des rencontres et des échanges avec quelques artistes de la région Rhône-Alpes où nous étions fixés avec mes parents. Pendant cette période j’ai fait toutes sortes d’expérimentations et appris plusieurs techniques, de la peinture à l’huile au pastel en passant même par le modelage. De nombreux essais avant de revenir finalement quelques années plus tard aux techniques de mon enfance : la gouache, l’aquarelle et principalement le crayon.
Mon travail est autobiographique, il s’inspire de mon quotidien, de mes expériences, de mes interrogations ; Il est le reflet de ces moments captés qui restent figés dans ma mémoire. Au gré de mes rencontres, je deviens parfois le vecteur d’expression des émotions des autres que je tente de retranscrire au mieux dans mes tableaux. Mes œuvres deviennent alors le fruit du partage.
Lorsque l’image est en mémoire, tout consiste ensuite à retranscrire au mieux l’atmosphère qui émane du moment : supprimer certains contours, interpréter la lumière pour ne garder que l’essentiel. Car au final tout l’enjeu est là, se rapprocher au plus près de l’émotion originelle. Une recherche qui s’appuie sur des éléments qui peuvent sembler antinomiques : là où ma technique consiste en un rendu réaliste, ou du moins à retranscrire une certaine réalité, elle doit exprimer l’impalpable.
