Née à Québec, dès l’âge de 14 ans, elle maîtrise la mine de plomb et le fusain. Elle adore le portrait et peint également à l’aquarelle. Elle exécute aussi des dessins pour préserver le patrimoine culturel. Autodidacte, madame Lachance apprend en étudiant les peintres canadiens et européens. Au début des années 80, elle peint des huiles sur toile. Ses œuvres actuelles s’inscrivent dans le courant artistique appelé Art Visionnaire. Elle explore ainsi les dimensions imaginaires de l’univers intérieur et du cheminement spirituel en général. Nombreuses expositions solos et en groupe. Débute en galerie en 1993 ; plusieurs de ses œuvres font aussi partie de collections privées.
Born in Québec city, at the age of fourteen, she already mastered lead pen and charcoal drawing mediums. She also liked doing portraits and watercolor. She made a lot of drawings meanwhile to preserve cultural heritage. Self-taught artist, Miss Lachance learnt more afterwards by studying great Canadian and European masters. In the early eighties, she started doing oil paintings. Her present works are part of the artistic movement called Visionary art. She explores thus the imaginary dimensions of the inner universe and spiritual progress. Many single and group exhibitions. She started in gallery in 1993; several of her works are also part of private collections.
