"Geboren in Celle, absolvierte Renate Kock-Skowron 1974 ihr Abitur und nahm ein Studium in Göttingen mit dem Berufsziel Grund- und Hauptschullehrerin auf. Unter anderem war auch das Fach Kunst eines ihrer Studienfächer. Hier konnte sie ihrer Leidenschaft, dem Malen, Raum geben. Vornehmlich hat sich die seit 1994 an der Grundschule Hahle tätige Lehrerin der gegenständlichen Ölmalerei verschrieben.
Nach verschiedenen Aufenthalten in El Salvador/Mittelamerika, Göttingen, Loccum und El Paso/Texas, USA, kommt Frau Kock-Skowron nach Stade. Die Mutter zweier erwachsener Kinder widmet sich seit einiger Zeit auch der abstrakten Malerei. Ihre Motive findet sie oft Urlaubsreisen. Eindrücke, die dort gesammelt wurden, spürt die Künstlerin in ihren Bildern nach. In diversen Ausstellungen im Elbe Klinikum, im Verwaltungsgericht, im Gründungs- und Innovationszentrum, in Stader Buchhandlungen und Cafés und im Foyer des Neuen Stader Rathauses hat Renate Kock-Skowron bereits ihre Bilder präsentiert."
