Simone Catania inizia la carriera artistica con la partecipazione a Proposte XVIII 2003, con l’installazione video-sonora dal titolo “Realtà”, in seguito ha lavorato come artista e regista principalmente tra le città di Torino e Roma presso emittenti televisive, agenzie pubblicitarie, Istituzioni pubbliche e private tra cui il Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Castello di Rivoli, la Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, la Galleria artecontemporanea41, "Art Attack Advertising", la Velan, la vetrina Italgas.
Realizza anche diversi cortometraggi tra cui “Martedì 23”, un piano sequenza di 28 minuti, che partecipa a festival italiani e stranieri (Europa, Canada, Usa) e in Grecia vince il premio speciale per la regia.
