I will always remember my favorite philosophy professor, who commented about the art of painting "if painters wanted to an exact reproduction, then why not just take a photograph?" Your painting style must be infused with passion--your own interpretation of the world around you....
My art is unique and, although strongly influenced by modern painters, it is issued of none of the past movements. It addresses the social struggles in the 21st century--it is mostly social commentary. It is aimed at conveying the unspeakable, the taboos, and give a voice to the voiceless--displace beauty to redefine it.
For instance, "the 21st Century Crucifixion" is an ode to the woman, and her daily assassination in modern society--where there is an extreme regression, as far as women's rights are concerned. "The Other Journey" encourages people to seek completion, within themselves, and to live their passions to fulfillment. "Black is Blue" is a silent ode to all the black artists who have died, while trying to express the blues inherent to their life, those who experience daily racism and yet prevail through the power of their mind. "Children of the Pyramids" asks questions about the origins of knowledge and how generosity is often rewarded by cruelty.
It is foremost instinctual, symbolic, and especially unique. It is utterly contemporary, because it embodies the multiculturalism of modern societies. It is the Western north, with a touch of South.
Painters who are my heroes are; Van Gogh, Magritte, Dali, Frida Khalo and Diego Rivera--among others. Feel free to contact me should you need further information, for exhibitions or pricing.

Mes peintures sont uniques. Presentation: Voici un échantillon des peintures de LM ARNAL, peintre autodidacte (formation en sciences sociales et paramédicales) qui ont été exposées surtout aux USA, au Canada, et récemment aux Jeux de la Francophonie à Nice (aussi couvert par les media-interview le 13 septembre, Radio France Bleu Azur). LM ARNAL est écrivain, et était personalité de la radio aux USA (KCSB-New York, WKCR-California). Un CV est inclu pour décrire le parcours de l'artiste. L'art de LM ARNAL n'appartient à aucune catégorie, sinon la sienne. C'est une peinture qui reflète le multiculturalisme des sociétés occidentales--et des questions posées au spectateur, un symbolisme unique et l'instinctuel. Il y a plusieurs périodes: la période américaine, la période sudafricaine, et le retour (en France). Elles sont d'abord élaborées en tant que commentaire social, pour poser des questions, ou pour exprimer l'inexprimable. Ou elles documentent les figures de la sociétés qui passent souvent inaperçues. A la base de sa philosophie est le besoin de liberté, le féminisme pacifique, et le dialogue. Nous espérons que vous pourrez intégrer ces oeuvres typiques du 21ème siècle dans toute prochaine exposition sponsorisée par votre organisation ou si vous êtes un privé, dans votre maison. Cheers.
