Le désert du Sahara qui fut un lieu de jeux d’enfance a développé une sensibilité aigüe aux paysages; les couleurs chaudes des sables, les minéraux sculptés par le vent et l’histoire ont structuré le regard…
Autodidacte, il participa à de nombreux «groupes» de productions plastiques, affichistes, dessinateurs de BD, collectif «Bauhaus»… jusqu’à la rencontre d’un artiste Chilien, Indien en 1985 avec qui il partagea ses sensibilités écologiques et énergétiques. Il lui apprend les techniques mêlant les ocres, les terres avec des colles naturelles au cours de rituels, une rencontre initiatique… qui lui permet, depuis, d’entreprendre un processus de recherches et expérimentation.
