About this artwork: This run in the forest or rather through the trees is an attempt either to break away from the environment or to melt into it. The picture captures the dramatic fight between the dynamic and the static, between the naked vulnerable running body and the oppressive motionless thicket of the forest. It is a process of enslavement rather than steeplechase, it is an attempt to keep one’s balance and avoid a fall rather than to move on and overcome the obstacles. The digital manipulation of the black and white imprint highlights the collision between the static dark background and the bright patch of the running figure, reorganizes the range of colors and accentuates the texture of the details.
