About this artwork: This art work is one of the Endless Expression Series. The emerging face symbolises uncertainty about what may unfold in the future. In this painting the artist is experimenting with his whirling technique and developing large faces in profile. He created this new style of oil painting by adapting the forms of traditional Turkish marbling, which is a water based technique to imprint designs onto paper. The result generates a similar visual effect to marbling although the technique is entirely different.
