I have been painting since I was 11 years old, I am mostly self taught but I have taken classes over the years to learn new techniques. I first began painting in junior high school where my art teacher, Greg Worthing, had a huge impact on me. He took me under his wing and the next year he talked the school into allowing him to have a special art class and he handpicked 12 of us and I was the only eighth grader. It was pretty awesome, he taught me so much. I paint in a realistic style because I am forever fascinated by the beauty around me in nature, I want to capture it on the canvas. I love to watch things grow and I love to see animals going about their daily business. I love sunsets and trees and clouds, how can you ever get tired of God's creation. I recently went to St. George Utah and took about 900 pictures of the mountains and the grand canyon. I also was fortunate enough to go to Italy this year and I saw so many beautiful sights. I took about 1700 pictures there...I love digital cameras!! I have enough inspirational material to last a long time!
