I have been painting since 2005 in my country Colombia. I started reproducing the classics, especially Degas and Rembrandt; also in Colombia I performed mural painting in a commercial range. I migrated to New Zealand in 2010. Observing the empowerment and freedom of women in this society has had a tremendous influence in my inclination towards the feminine subject. That is translated into practice, by a switch from a more realistic style to and expressive abstraction reavealing my own sense of freeing.
