S.N. was born in Rome on 20th December 1971. After studying Graphics at Art School "Panfilo Castaldi" in Rome, he graduated at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.

As a result of his research in the field of home furnishings, he was inspired by old demolished engines' metal parts to create design items.
He first experimented with the combination of mechanical parts and Plexiglas and this led him to the design of unique and original home furnishings items.
He has subsequently introduced new materials, such as marble and fabric. His aim is to realize items, in particular lamps, whose charm could attract curiosity, trying to reconcile his own creative needs with those of eventual consumers.
The artist provides his creations with a sensual dimension too, in order to point out the conflict between the hardness and the tenderness of the materials, aiming to give elegance to elements which normally lack in it. Thus, unique pieces are created, starting from recycling, then going through designing up to being considered as works of art, a sort of "Sculptures utilitaires".

The manufacturing of the mechanical parts is reduced to the minimum in order to maintain the appeal of wear and tear.
The search is his starting point, that is the search for the particular mechanical piece used to draw a shape, which will be developed into a work of art.
In this sense, the creation process is a reverse one: it starts from the available material, through the planning, up to the drawing phase.
He is currently developing new projects, by working on recyclable parts of high quality cars, a valuable source of attraction not only for motors enthusiasts.

The works presented are unique pieces, designed by S.N. and realized by skilled craftsmen.
