Oldrich Jaskula

Born in 1977 Lives and works in Lens, France
Oldrich is a painter strongly inspired by expressionism, in particular by the work of the Russian painter Chaïm Soutine (1893-1943). He paints anonymous people, people of heart, characters, historical places and still lifes. The techniques he uses are oil, acrylic and charcoal. Oldrich is also influenced by art brut.
His work is also affected by the intensity and the force that emerges from it. A torment or even a deep cry emerges from his portraits, and an air of loneliness emanates from his still lifes. It illuminates the shadow in everything to everyone.
