I was born in 1963 in Fontainebleau (France)

I've always loved handicrafts and I cast a curious look on life.

I started as a laboratory assistant in photography. But I did not always work in the dark. I need light.

Like many young people I did seasonal work. I crossed the globe.

After my thirties I married. I live in the north of Belgium. And I returned to my passion: handicrafts.

I took sewing lessons, followed sculpture, because I wanted contact with design.

I wanted to put this on paper, so I took a few art classes to know the techniques. The passion was there and nothing could stop me.

All materials are ready to slip through my hands and to become a picture.

La_Babssy is the artist’s name my daughter gave me: it is the combination of Babeth Brécy
