Biography
Was born in Lisbon in 1968 and graduated in the História da Arte, at the faculdade Autónoma de Lisboa. Later he attended a course of restauration and preservation of sculptures, participating in several projects, including his collaboration with a team that restored the cloister of mosteiro dos Jeronimos, in Lisbon. In 1995 he won a scholarship from the fundação da Juventude, Vigo, Spain.
Since 1994 he has had 10 individual and participated in more than 50 collective exhibitions in Portugal, Spain, Netherlands and Brasil.
In 1995 he won the esteemed “prize of youth art” , has participated in several national and international Symposiums, amongst them the IV Simpósio internacional de Escultura do Brasil, in Brusque, Santa Catarina, and The sculpting Legion in Nigmegem, Netherlands.

'Entre cielo y tierra' muestra elementos primordiales del mundo que nos rodea, Carlos Andrade y Fernando Palacios conversan en torno a la presencia del ser humano en la naturaleza. Carlos Andrade nos muestra los orígenes de nuestro planeta, dirigiendo su mirada hacia lo terrenal y el génesis de esta roca metamórfica. A su vez, Fernando Palacios alza la vista a los cielos para señalar las nubes, conjugando así esta alegoría sobre el cambio, el avance y, finalmente, el futuro. Cielo y tierra, aparentemente antagónicos, son representados en esta ocasión como un todo, una unión homogénea sobre la visión de estos artistas y nuestro presente.
