Alexander Stepanets was born in Ukraine, in Kharkiv. Out of love to native land the artist calls home every corner of his beloved country. Alexander Stepanets is a well-established artist, who took his own niche in the modern Ukrainian art. He graduated four years Art School named after Repin in Kharkiv and later Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Fine Arts, where he received higher education at the Faculty of Fine Arts, specialty printmaking graphics.
Works in techniques of linoсut, etching, watercolor, oil painting. In addition to painting and drawing, the artist shows his talent in such areas as sculpture, photography, design.

Artworks of the master can be described as brutal, with present black humor, grotesque compositions reflecting the depravity of human existence, this topic is one of the key in works of the artist. With its distinctive style, sometimes rude, rectilinear, the artist creates images that are in its content calling the viewer to think about them. According to the master: "a work of art should contain as much information so that to provoke the audience to think".

Creativity occupies the most important place in the life of the master. Works of the artist are in private collections in Ukraine, Japan, Germany and USA.
