"Coming from History, from old Romanian folk tales, or just simply from dreams, rich narratives intersect a swirl of colors in all of Constantin Galceava's oils on canvas and cardboard. Sometimes a little bit naive, other times with some energetic expressionism touch, strange sad characters sing, play music, dance, or just contemplate other strange sad characters, inside a space-time paradigm made of geometrical shapes, like a mixture of eternal, mythical childhood. Treated in a pure postmodern pastiche technique, lyrical reflexions from Paul Verlaine's quasi-tristes party-goers are detectable in the look and gestures of these men, women and children hiding secret never ending stories... "
