O rooms
O- in this title stands for Oneiric and suggests a special atmosphere of this project. Oneirism (from greek Oneiros: dream, dreaming) relates to psychic condition similar to that of a dream. It happens to mentally sick people and in special occasions to sane people.
Exhibition present a research of human behavior in specific surroundings placed far from "outer" world and fast way of living. O rooms is an ambiental installation that consists of paintings and objects. Paintings are made in the techinique of collage and digital print on canvas. They are inspired by fictional theatre plays with mix of influences from mass media and modern art, film, photography. Exhibited objects are from different sources. They are pieces of furniture, constructions from plank and cardboard, plants in pots...and they are arranged inside of borders of imaginary rooms and make a setting for paintings. Borders are marked by vinyl adhesive tape on the floor of the gallery.
